D270 Backup
D270 Backup is a private, owner-operated backup tool. It creates encrypted archives of the owner’s system configuration and uploads them to a dedicated Google Drive account.
Purpose and access
The application is not offered for public sign-up. Google authorization is used only to support the owner’s backup and recovery workflow.
The application requests the Google Drive drive.file permission to create and manage backup files and folders it creates or that are explicitly made available to it. It does not request unrestricted access to all files in Google Drive.
How backups are handled
Archives are encrypted before upload. The private decryption key is kept separately from Google Drive and the source host. Backup files and checksum files are stored in the dedicated Drive account, with retention rules used to remove older copies.
Backup archives may contain sensitive configuration and credentials. Encryption does not remove the need to protect the account, authorization tokens and recovery key.
